As far as I know, there has been only one Philippe who was tributary – Philippe Pétain. From this, the rest of the quatrain falls into place.
The new empire is the German Nazi empire after 1942, it was more and more desolate. The Northern pole is literally the big three of the United Nations – the land areas of the Soviet Union (now Russia), the British Empire and the United States all reached towards the northern pole. Sicily had been invaded and the United Nations were marching up the Italian boot. The last line has to refer to Philippe Pétain, leader of the French empire. France was subject to the wishes of the Nazis and their leader, Adolf Hitler.

The quatrain reads simply enough. A good servant is dismissed for no apparently good reason. The third line, the emotional poison, makes surprising sense: where loyalty once was will be a brooding desire for vengeance. The last line indicates that the servant is seized, failing his or her task yet escaping in a very dangerous escape attempt.
This sounds like something that happened during the years of French royalty. I must leave this one to the reader to decipher.

Zara is the ancient name of Zadar, a Croatian city on the coast of the Adriatic sea. Byzantium is Istanbul. There has been no such enterprise since Nostradamus penned this quatrain. For a long time, Zadar was part of the Ottoman empire. Later, after it left Ottoman control, there was no reason or chance for a naval expedition to leave Zadar to attack Istanbul. The two world wars saw no such action, and since then all has been peaceful.
This sounds very strongly like a future naval expedition. During the war of the Antichrist, the enemy will gain control of large portions of Europe, if not all of it. This sounds like it will occur towards the later years, when the forces of Aquilon and the revived French (as I interpret it) are pushing back. The staging ground is the Adriatic, mainly because it is self-contained and hard to attack through the Strait of Otranto. The defensive effectiveness of the strait was shown in the First World War when the allied navies of Britain, France and Italy blockaded the strait, keeping the Austrian navy bottled up in the Adriatic and out of the main naval theater in the Mediterranean. This therefore sounds like a time when the West and North has control of the Adriatic and the Strait and can mount a naval expedition in complete safety and security. The result, a moderate victory for the allies, which will be somewhat disappointing, but still a gain.

This is an Italian quatrain. Paterno is in the isle of Sicily. The Gulf of Trieste is in the extreme northern part of the Adriatic Sea. Trinacria is the isle of Sicily, sometimes the Kingdom of Sicily was known as the Kingdom of Trinacria. The quatrain is self-explanatory though. Trouble is, nothing like what is described has happened, yet. This must refer to the future.
Entre Bayonne & à saint jean de Luz
Sera posé de Mars la promotoire
Aux Hanix d’Aquilon Nanar hostera luz,
Puis sussocqué au lict sans adivtoire.
An accurate interpretation of this quatrain will depend on an accurate translation of the word Hanix. It could be a name.

I am guessing, but I would hazard the opinion that Hurin is a phonetic pronunciation of a name. Of the places of line 1, there are many Villefranche’s all over France, and Thoulouse is obvious. Bayonne is in southern France. The Adrian Mountain is ambiguous, unless one is referring to the mountain of that exact name in British Columbia, Canada; I doubt it is accurate, but it is possible. Of the last ambiguous word, Bihoro, I know very little. Leoni reports it was claimed to be Henri IV’s battle cry, but that is impossible as Henri’s battle cry, "Ralliez-vous mon panache blanc," (Follow my white feather) is famous.

Edgar Leoni points out that le Pelletier interpreted this one, assigning it to Louis XVI.
As Pelletier pointed out, Louis was the elected king of France, this because he was a constitutional monarch after the National Assembly voted him into it. However, his flight to Varennes caused his death. The voyage of death was a poetic description of what happened, especially in the tumbrel as it rolled towards the place of execution. He had been dethroned and executed by the very same subjects who had accepted him as a constitutional monarch.
That Nostradamus would consider him to be innocent is not surprising, Nostradamus was a strong monarchist who believed in the monarchy, even when he recognized the weaknesses of certain monarchs. It is true that according to witnesses, Louis declared his innocence just before his death. Yet at the same time, he declared his hope that his death would serve to give peace and prosperity to the French people, a traditionally pious act.

Que ne tiendra que trois ans le royaume,
Plusieurs coulleurs avec soy conjoindra,
Luy mesmes apres soin someil martirscome.
I was not able to find a king of Sardinia who ruled for only 3 years. That said, the only list I found was jumbled and very badly written. The care of line 4 could be after he leaves, or it could be after he joins some colors to his kingdom. As far as I can tell, the only way one can add colors to the kingdom would be for one to add territory, i.e. conquer territory. More on this, I cannot say.
It is possible that this is one of those failed quatrains that Nostradamus wrote, quatrains that will never be fulfilled.
Pour ne tumber entre mains de son oncle,

Orant au peuple mettant pied sur Peloncle
Mort & traisné entre chevaulx bardez.
I do not know of any of the kingly houses where this occurred. That said, my knowledge of the kings of Europe is rather limited, so it could have happened. It could also refer to a duchy. Finally, it may be an event in the future, though I doubt this. I leave this to the future to decide.

The cross could refer to Christian cross or the hooked cross of the Nazis. If the latter, the name of Rudolph Hess naturally lends itself to the interpretation. He was a true believer in Hitler and Nazism – he really believed in it and thought it would benefit both Germany and the world. This fact demonstrated the troubled, confused sense he was operating from. His flight to England, where he tried so desperately to meet with British nobility he thought was sympathetic to Hitler, is also proof of this. The sacredness is clearly Christianity, with the Catholic Church at the forefront. The horned bull is Hitler who was born under the sign of Taurus, the bull. Hess’s devotion, admirable if it were under different circumstances, was clearly misdirected as it was given to Heir Hitler. The last line is obvious, when Hess left for England Hitler, the king of this quatrain, was starting to lose control of the situation, the British were bombing Germany and Hitler was entertaining the Soviets while preparing to attack them. Hitler’s passions were coming to the forefront, he was losing the cool headed judgment that had maintained him through the early days of the Reich. However, I must admit I cannot understand the reference to the virgin pork, unless it is a veiled pun on Hitler’s words and deeds – his words were often noble and inspiring, the words of a stoic by nature, yet his actions were libidinous and luxurious, a man who lived in luxury and wealth, which is today known as the pork.
